How to change your naam in Free Fire

Free Fire naam changing takes under a minute: open your profile, tap the pencil icon next to your name, paste the new name and pay with diamonds or a Name Change Card. The game shows the exact price before you confirm, and Garena does not publish a fixed price.

Pick the new name first. Use the generator above or copy one of the names further down this page.
Open your profile. In the Free Fire lobby, tap your avatar in the top-left corner.
Tap the pencil icon next to your current nickname.
Paste and preview. Long-press the name box, paste, and look closely: ▯ boxes mean a symbol is missing from the phone’s fonts.
Confirm the payment. Choose diamonds or a Name Change Card if you have one.

How to get a Name Change Card

A Name Change Card lets you change your Free Fire name without spending diamonds. Garena sometimes gives these cards as event, top-up or pass rewards, so check the Events tab and your Vault before paying diamonds. There is no official free method outside those rewards; websites that promise a free card or free diamonds for your login are scams.

Check the Vault (Items) for an unused card.
Watch the Events tab: rename cards appear in some login and top-up events.
Never share your login with a site offering “free name change”.

Check this before you pay

Check these five things before you pay, because a name you regret costs another change.

Length: Garena publishes no limit, but most guides say 12 characters. Keep the visible name short.
Boxes: symbols like ꧁ ꧂ or 𓆩 𓆪 are missing on some phones. Small capitals (ꜱᴛʏʟᴇ) and ×͜× are safer.
Invisible space: use U+00A0; the old Hangul filler U+3164 is blocked since OB43.
Clean words: insults, hate and impersonation get your name reset without a refund.
Your ID stays the same: changing your nickname does not change your UID, level, friends or items.
